Business Benefits
Multilingual
- CakeMail was designed from the ground up with internationalization in mind. All text for the interface is stored separately from the application code, which means that offering the tool in a new language can be as simple as translating the language file.
- Prospective resellers in any country or region around the world can translate the CakeMail platform into their own language, thus opening up new markets by tapping into latent demand for which there was previously no corresponding offer.
- More small businesses in emerging, non-English markets can access the power of email marketing through an interface in their mother tongue.
- CakeMail can deliver content by email in any language, thanks to UTF-8 encoding, which means you can finally start sending newsletters in languages like Japanese, Mandarin and Arabic.
True White Label
- Resellers’ customers will never be redirected to a domain name and an interface over which resellers have little control when it comes to branding, design or language.
- The CakeMail interface code is publicly available and therefore 100% customizable. We’ve freed it from the application interface so that it can be hosted separately from the back end.
- Not only is a reseller’s interface always hosted using their own domain, but they can customize the tracking domain, the domain for Return-Path emails (bounces), the domain name of the server used to send their mailings (requires their own IP address), and the CakeMail API domain if they want to give their clients access to the API directly.
- There are an infinite number of ways to decorate Cake. We’ve created a few design skins to get things started (see images to the right), but the possibilities are really only limited by a designer’s imagination.
- CakeMail is a dedicated white label: there will be no CakeMail brand competing with resellers for end users. Resellers’s customers will never see references to the CakeMail brand while using our services.
- CakeMail’s wholesale price list is not publicly available, freeing resellers to charge whatever they wish, depending on the market they are serving or the services they offer.
Extendable
- Anyone can create new design skins for the CakeMail interface, which means that resellers will have increasing options for off-the-shelf templates as time goes on.
- Resellers and third parties can translate the CakeMail interface into any language, which will open up new markets and bring email marketing tools to the world.
- Because the interface code is open and publicly available, developers can create plug-ins that connect to other applications, creating integrated value-added services that CakeMail resellers can opt into for a fee. As CakeMail’s user base grows, more and more developers will create tools for the platform.
- Developers can even by-pass the interface and build new businesses right “on top” of our API. For example, someone could create an email-to-RSS service using the CakeMail API.
Easy
- CakeMail offers resellers’ clients a simple 5-step campaign creation tool in an uncluttered interface.
- For a fee, prospective resellers can have us take care of creating a customized interface for them, as well as do any systems integration.
- The CakeMail team handles all the tough back-end stuff, like email delivery services, so that resellers can focus on serving their clients.
Reliable
- CakeMail’s chief architect, founder and CEO François Lane, has been providing email marketing platform services since 2002.
- Data is securely sent between resellers’ interfaces and the CakeMail API via encrypted XML.
- CakeMail’s servers are located in a state-of-the-art data center in Montreal featuring air conditioning units, diesel backup generators, and access secured with biometric sensors and cameras.
- The data center we use is owned and operated by iWeb, a public company listed on the Toronto stock exchange (TSX-V: IWB).
- iWeb has a redundant network infrastructure and a solid track record.
- Servers are installed on private colocation racks accessible 24/7 and located just a short drive away from CakeMail’s offices and team members’ homes.
- Only CakeMail’s team and qualified iWeb technicians have physical access to our servers.
